Sr. Associate, Credit (CPG Financing)

Help build the underwriting engine behind Bridge's purchase order financing platform, redefining how growing CPG brands access the working capital they need to fulfill orders from the world's largest retailers.

  • New York, NY (Preferred)
  • Full-time
  • 2–7 Years

Our mission

Bridge exists to make capital access simpler for growing businesses. Backed by Citi, TTV Capital, US Bank, and Correlation Ventures, we have deployed more than $800 million in financing and partner with Fortune 500 retailers including Walmart. In August 2026 we announced a $500 million financing partnership with LuminArx, purpose-built for CPG production financing.

About the role

Bridge is seeking a Sr. Associate to join the Credit & Underwriting team behind our purchase order financing activities serving growing CPG brands. You will underwrite real transactions from day one on Bridge's AI-powered underwriting platform, working directly with brands selling into major retailers like Walmart and with Bridge's senior leadership to deliver credit decisions that are faster, sharper, and better supported than anything traditional lenders offer.

This is not a role where you run someone else's checklist. Bridge has built a modern underwriting platform where AI handles the manual work and the underwriter focuses on judgment. You will work live deals alongside senior credit leadership, then help make the platform smarter with every transaction. If you have commercial lending experience and find yourself frustrated by how much of underwriting still lives in static spreadsheets, this role was designed for you.

The program launched in August 2026, so you are joining at the point where the book gets built, not inherited.

You will work closely with credit leadership, origination, product, and engineering.

Key responsibilities

Underwriting and credit analysis

  • Work directly with growing CPG brands and Bridge senior leadership to deliver a best-in-class underwriting experience, from first conversation through credit decision.
  • Underwrite PO finance opportunities on Bridge's AI-powered platform, evaluating borrower financials, purchase orders, supplier terms, end-buyer credit quality, and margin resilience, with retailer data and models doing the heavy lifting.
  • Prepare AI-assisted credit memos and supporting materials for credit committee, with clear, well-supported recommendations, and pressure test the platform's outputs with an underwriter's judgment.
  • Run technology-driven diligence workflows, using AI and new data sources to process volumes of information that traditional lenders review by hand.

Portfolio monitoring

  • Monitor portfolio performance through Bridge's platform, using automated early warning indicators, covenant tracking, and borrowing base surveillance rather than manual reporting cycles.
  • Analyze supply chain and repayment data across the portfolio, applying AI to surface signals at a scale manual review can't match and flag emerging risks early.
  • Support draw reviews, annual reviews, and remediation work on challenged credits.

AI, data, and platform

  • Sit at the intersection of AI and underwriting: apply models, retailer transaction data, and supply chain data to sharpen credit analysis on every deal.
  • Partner with product and engineering to test, refine, and improve Bridge's scorecards, decisioning models, and AI workflows, bringing an underwriter's eye to how they should work.
  • Identify where manual steps in the underwriting process can be replaced by AI and automation, and help make it happen.
  • Contribute to the feedback loops that turn each funded transaction into smarter models and better underwriting insight for the next one.

Team and stakeholders

  • Support senior credit leadership in preparing materials for capital partners and internal reviews.
  • Coordinate with Sales and Operations to keep deals moving through diligence, approval, and funding.
  • Build fluency in Bridge's credit policy and help keep documentation standards high across the book.

Qualifications and experience

  • 2 to 7 years of experience in commercial credit, asset-based lending, factoring, trade finance, or specialty finance, with hands-on underwriting or portfolio analysis responsibility.
  • Strong financial analysis and modeling skills, including comfort working through borrower financials, working capital dynamics, and cash conversion cycles.
  • Genuine comfort working in and around data: you would rather query a dataset than skim a summary of it, and you notice when numbers don't tie.
  • Curiosity about how models, scorecards, and automation can improve credit decisions, and enthusiasm for helping build them rather than just using them.
  • Exposure to CPG brands or suppliers selling to large retailers or national accounts is a plus.
  • Experience with and a deep interest in leveraging the latest tools as they evolve, and putting them to work in real underwriting.
  • Clear written communication, with the ability to distill complex credit analysis into concise, decision-ready memos.
  • Ownership mentality and comfort operating in a fast-moving, high-growth environment where processes are still being built.
